Slow Down. Work With Nature. Create Something That Lasts. Join us for a restorative day of traditional green woodworking as we craft a beautiful, functional shrink pot — a simple wooden vessel formed using the natural movement of wood.
At Whittling for Wellbeing, this workshop is about more than making an object. It’s about slowing your pace, working with your hands, and reconnecting with natural materials in a calm, supportive environment. Using freshly cut green wood, you’ll hollow and shape your pot before fitting a dry wooden base. As your pot dries over time, the wood gently shrinks and tightens around the base — a quiet reminder of how patience and process create strength.
